TURKEY CLOSES ALL BORDER GATES WITH SYRIA

Turkish Customs and Trade Minister Hayati Yazıcı told that all border gates of Turkey with Syria will be closed today.

Hayati Yazıcı said, "All border gates with Syria are to be closed as of today."

All passages of vehicles between Turkey and Syria are halted, but those travels to a third country will be allowed.

There are 13 border gates of Turkey along its 900 kilometers border with Syria.

However, Turkish border gates with Syria, except the gates at Cilvegözü (Hatay), Öncüpınar (Kilis) and Karkamış (Gaziantep) borders, were already closed de facto.

Turkish trucks were looted and set on fire in attacks occured in the region lately.
