175 films from 28 countries contested in the festival during which 61 short films were also screened. Actress Meltem Cumbul and film directors Hüseyin Karabey, Emin Alper and Olgu Baran Kubilay went to India to represent Turkey at the festival which took place between July 27 and August 5 and where films from India, Asia and the Arab world vied for awards.
Olgu Baran Kubilay's film Bus and Emin Alper's film Over the Hill were shown at the beginning of the festival and received great acclaim from audiences.
Hüseyin karabey was also a member of the jury.

Over the Hill / Emin Alper : Best film- First screening
Underground / Zeki Demirkubuz: Best Film- Asia and Arab Cinema
The film Labyrinth specially invited to the festival was screened throughout the festival.
Actress Meltem Cumbul was a source of attraction in the course of the festival and awarded a plaque.
Turkey's ambassador to India Burak Akçapar also attended the award giving ceremony.
