Vlasic, the top high jumper in women’s category at present was making plans to win her 1st career Olympic gold. But some serious health problems that went on incessantly prevented her from fulfilling her dreams. Croatian athlete had undergone surgery on an achilles tendon on January. Then had to have another surgery on April. Vlasic failed to recover from these 2 operations she underwent recently.
As a result, she decided to withdraw from the London 2012 Olympic Games. Vlasic said that her health situation is getting better but underlined that staying home and get the healing process to the end is the best thing to do as she's not interested in jumping below her usual level.
