Turkey suspended all activities at its embassy in the Syrian capital Damascus on Monday, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said.

The consular section of Turkey’s Damascus embassy had suspended all its services on March 22.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry said on its web site, “Our embassy suspends all activities at its embassy in the Syrian capital Damascus as of March 26, 2012”.

The Aleppo Consulate will keep giving services.
