Turkish Statistics Agency announced the unemployment figures for the period of May 2012.
Within the given period, the labor force activity was realized as 50.5 percent.
The number of unemployed fell 278 thousands people to 2.27 million in May 2012, which was 2.55 million in May 2011.
Urban jobless rate dropped by 1.5 points to 10.1 percent, and rural unemployment downed by 0.9 point to 4.5 percent for the given period.
Turkish non-agricultural employment increased 747 thousand people in May,2012.
The statistics agnecy data showed that the total number of employed people in Turkey reached 25.2 million from the last year's 24.4 million.
